Born in Northern California into a large, predominately female family of artists (her mother and grandmother were painters), Sara’s love of beauty and the values of her strong female mentors were instilled at an early age.

As a young girl, Sara recalls visits from her Aunt who first introduced her to jewelry. She had a wonderful pouch of magical treasures - family heirlooms, estate jewelry as well as contemporary pieces. Sara would spend hours sprawled out on the floor surrounded by the jewelry, asking her Aunt questions about the history, origin, family connection and meaning behind the beauty that lay in front of her. She was spellbound, her passion ignited.

That passion never left Sara. She went on to gather a formidable collection of her own estate jewelry, study at the Gemological Institute of America, and later worked with a local jewelry designer. It was there that her ancestral ethos and love of art began to join forces with her own ideas for her first collection. Sara knew she wanted a future in the jewelry business. stories of the people to the stories of the jewelry,”

After her 20-year marriage ended and her children were grown, Sara found herself shifting into a new chapter and jewelry felt like a natural place to land. “I loved so much to connect the stories of the people to the stories of the jewelry,” expresses the designer. The result was her first collection named Universal Love.

As a storyteller who weaves magical symbols and ancient alchemy through luxurious gemstones and haute couture designs, Sara found her audience and has continued to delight many more since. As the details and motifs change what remains consistent is the designers deep connection to the feminine along with the elegance, quality and luxury of her work, making it truly timeless.

The Poet A. C. Benson once said, “As she makes her way through the world, a certain sense of beautiful mystery seems to gather and grow.” No doubt, Sara Weinstock’s desire to unlock the mysteries of beauty will do just that.

THE STORY

“For over 75,000 years,
human beings have
adorned their bodies with
decorative art.”

Before written language, or the spoken word, there was jewelry. From it’s ancient beginnings in Africa to the mystical and magical influences of the Mesopotamian’s, Egyptians, and later the Celts, jewelry has been a spiritual expression that, like art, is a window into the soul of humanity.

Sara Weinstock’s designs have always, and continue to be, a window into her own soul. The first couture collection debuted in 2008 was glamorous and bohemian and carried a strong spiritual message about Sara’s transition through the end of her marriage and eventual rebirth as an entrepreneur. As a newly separated mother of two starting over in mid-life, the collection, which included amulets and talismans exquisitely crafted in gold and precious stones, contained symbolic messages that empowered Sara, and any other possessor, to keep moving forward in the quest for spiritual growth and self awareness.

INSPIRATION

Inspired by the great architecture and textiles of ancient civilizations, her designs have Arabesque, Indian, and European influences and reflect Sara’s passion for travel.

On a trip to France for Fashion Week the intricate ironwork of Juliette Balconies beckoned along with the delicate patterns of the antique lace makers to inspire the French Tulip collection. Delicately crafted with the pave diamonds and using a single color of rose, yellow or white gold to evoke the feminine principle of simplicity and emphasize the highest potential of the color.

THE VISION

The simplicity of her latest work allows for the quality and uniqueness of her designs to truly shine. It also allows for layering of the pieces, so a woman can express herself creatively and make her own statement.

Working with negative space, arabesque curves, delicate filigree, and the finest diamonds clearly expresses feminine beauty in its most elegant form, but Sara Weinstock’s pieces inspire more than that.

The intention behind every piece of jewelry is for the wearer to experience that the magic and power of her femininity are being returned to her. The divine feminine is awakened.

Light talks to light, say the alchemists, and so it is that the light of each Sara Weinstock piece speaks to the light within the wearer. She becomes aware of her creativity, intuition, sensuality and courage, and radiates these qualities.

There’s nothing sexier than a woman who feels the powerful femine within, says Sara. Indeed, this is the alchemy behind each piece. But pair it with the visually breathtaking and exquisite beauty of any Sara Weinstock design and you have a woman who has truly found her piece de résistance.
